36.4 weeks and Baby Update

I keep thinking each survey will be the last one I do. I literally expect labor at any moment....ouchie ouchie ouch!
I went for a growth ultrasound on Monday, and we determined I'm carrying a giant! He's in the 89th percentile.....weighing about 7.6 pounds already. Of course we all know ultrasounds aren't always accurate. Some of his measurements were in the 39 week range and some only in the 37-38 week range. All this to say I'm not dilated and we have no clue if mammoth boy will be early, on time, or late like his sis. The doctor feels sure he'll be a 9 pounder, but no talk of induction before 41 weeks at this point! He looked healthy and had a little bit of hair! His head was reallllllly low, so maybe that's a good start.
How far along? 36.4 weeks
Total weight gain: 29 pounds (which is a lot, but it's less than at this point with B)
Maternity clothes? of course
Sleep: Tylenol PM is a miracle!  I'm actually getting pretty good sleep and sometimes even a short nap!
Best moment this week: ultrasound on Monday - seeing the 4 chambers of his heart - so cool!!
Miss Anything? normalcy in all areas
Movement? alllll the time.....cause he's HUGE!!!
Food cravings? nah
Anything making you queasy or sick? I'm queasy a lot lately but not sure why!
Gender: boy
Name? Davin Ryan
Labor Signs: lots and lots of contractions and a realllllly low head in my pelvis
Symptoms: I just hurt!
Belly Button in or out? in but has popped out a few nights....but always goes back lol
Wedding rings on or off? They wouldn't go on very easily yesterday, but they fit today.
Happy or Moody most of the time? Im trying to stay positive! :)
Looking forward to: My mom coming to visit this weekend.

Mental (Cyber) Note

I wanted to jot down a few things that Brenna has said/done lately that I want to remember.  I'm smart enough to know that I can't keep up the monthly chronicles for her AND Davin, but I do want to periodically make note of some things that have made us laugh/smile from time-to-time.

*The other day we were at a stop sign.  She started spelling S-T-O-P.  We bragged on her and I told her that was a stop sign.  Then she replies, "It's an octagon!"  Thank you Sesame Street.  So now we have moved on to bigger and better shapes.  She already knew circle, square, triangle, star, heart, and diamond.  She's working on "trapa boys" (trapezoids) and rectangles now.

*She loves to watch people write words.  She thinks anything you write spells Brenna Halsey.  When Elmo writes out "Elmo's World" with his crayon, she always remarks, "Elmo write Brenna's Halsey".  Hilarious!  The other day I was showing her how to spell Mommy, but she was looking at it backwards.  She insisted, "That's not a M, that's a W!"  True, true little smartie.

*She loves to sing "The Wheels on the Bus", "Old MacDonald", "Twinkle, Twinkle", "Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear", "Itsy Bitsy Spider", an ABC song she heard on YouTube that goes through every letter..."A is for Apple, a a Apple...B is for Ball, b b Ball....".  She can sing the whole entire song!

*She's obsessed with praying.  We pray more than I've ever prayed in my life during the day.  That's a good thing.

*We went to see Jonathan's great uncle who has terminal cancer 3 weeks ago.  She saw him in the room and got scared.  His name is Don.  Brenna will randomly remark that "Donna's sick in the bed".  I'm not sure if she knows it's Don or if she thinks it's my cousin or aunt Donna that she knows well.  I try to explain to her the best I can that he's sick but he's okay.  She wanted to pray for him the other day.  Childlike faith and innocence at its best.

*She's obsessed with bubbles, coloring, running, chasing Maggie, feeding Maggie Beggin' Strips, wiping things down with a wet "papal towel", tea parties, wearing hats, fruit snacks, the 3 bears story, "strawbabbees", "chocit", tractors/lawn mowers, and her daddy.  She's terrified of automatic car washes and bugs.

*She likes going to the doctor with me and hearing her brother's heartbeat.  She uses her pretend stethoscope to listen to my belly (and leg/back, arm, etc) at home.  She also likes to check our ears, give us medicine, and test our knee reflexes.  She's getting better at cleaning up her toys and books.

*She brought me my phone the other day and Tetris was opened.  I've never even played Tetris on my phone.  I've played it on the Ipad, but not really around Brenna.  She told me as she handed me the phone, "I'm playing Tetchus".  Um, what?

*Two nights this week she called out to me after she was already in bed.  Both times she wanted to "sing a song in the chair".  I'm obviously not going to pass on that opportunity!

*Still not potty-trained.  We gave up because she got sick during our training and haven't started back up.  She's 100% not interested.  I'm 36 weeks pregnant.  I realize we need to get this show on the road, but excuses are so easy to come by!

*She's fun, challenging, loving, hysterical, shy in front of strangers, outgoing in front of friends/family, and a blessing to everyone.  I'm obseessed with HER!

35.1 Survey

How far along? 35.1 weeks
Total weight gain: 28ish pounds - less than at this point with Brenna and hoping for no more!!
Maternity clothes? of course
Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty well but just getting up to pee 3-4 times.
Best moment this week: good report at the doctor, the news that he might be coming early - woohoo!
Miss Anything? I miss not being pregnant.  How's that for honesty?
Movement? lots and lots and lots - he seems to be really low
Food cravings? lots of sweets, but I wouldn't necessarily call it a craving.  It's more of low self-control at this point.
Anything making you queasy or sick? I get nauseous a lot, but it has nothing to do with food really.
Gender: boy
Name? Davin Ryan
Labor Signs: lots and lots of contractions still
Symptoms: Everything hurts.  Seriously, everything.
Belly Button in or out? still in surprisingly
Wedding rings on or off? still on surprisingly
Happy or Moody most of the time: I'd say not necessarily moody, just a little over it and complaining!
Looking forward to: ultrasound next Monday :)

I was literally having a contraction during this picture I'm pretty sure!

35/35

So, tomorrow is a pregnancy milestone!  I'll be 35 weeks pregnant and have 35 days left to go until my due date!  So, in blatantly copying my friend Merritt's timing, we're having a baby guessing game!  And there will be a legitimate prize for the winners.  In fact, there will be 2 prizes!  One prize for the closest in day/time and one prize for the closest in weight/height.  Here's some random info to help you in this all-important guess!

*My due date is June 9.  I know for sure that this is the correct due date.  :)
*Tomorrow is a full moon (supermoon, in fact).  The next full moon will be June 4.
*At my 34 week appointment on Monday I was measuring 37 weeks.  We have an u/s scheduled for May 14. I always measured a few weeks behind with Brenna, so this is weird.
*This baby is really low already, and he's head-down.  It hurts to walk at night.
*I'm still having a good amount of fetal movement.
*I have contractions every day - especially at night.  Sometimes they are really painful, but they are never regular.  I had very, very few contractions with Brenna.
*Brenna was 7 days late.  She was 8 pounds, 3 ounces and 20 inches long.  I went into labor around 9 PM and she was born at 5:05 AM.
*I was about a month early.  I was 6 pounds, 12 ounces and 19 inches long.
*Jonathan was a little late.  He weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces (maybe?).
*My doctor's office doesn't recommend inductions until 41 weeks.  They are very, very in favor of inductions at 42 weeks.  I don't want to be induced, but I am looking forward to having him OUT!

You have a week to vote!  Give me your guess on day, time, height, and weight! :)

The last belly picture that I've taken - 34 weeks.
